The LUFTWAFFE Paratrooper Badge was awarded to German parachutists upon the completion of training, including five jumps. The soldier was required to make at least six jumps a year to remain qualified. Established on Sept. 1, 1937, the badge was awarded until the start of World War II, when all parachute units were placed under the control of the Luftwaffe. It was worn on the left breast pocket.
